I remember Travis posting pictures of bouquets of flowers on the guestbook for you for Valentine’s Day in 1997. And Jagori would have been a great name for a girl.

If there was one good thing about the disconnect you and I have when it comes to musical tastes, it’s that I always have lots of artists I know nothing about to discover when I come here. Thanks for the list. I’ll definitely check out a bunch of these.

I have REM’s full catalogue on my iPod and put Life’s Rich Pageant on in my office when I heard the news, wondering how you were taking it. Having known you when you were full on rabid fan it’s interesting reading how you’re feeling today. And don’t let the haters get you down. All the I thought they broke up already jokes are stupid and by people who don’t understand the important role REM played in the evolution of college rock in the US. There have been books written on this, the fact that they effectively invented the genre. R.I.P.

Well, those dingos may suck. Or they could be like me and as much as I may want to get some video at a show, it distracts from my rocking. Therefore if something like this were to happen while I was in attendance, it would actually be a disservice for me to be documenting it.
